ASEDA: Atlanta's Swing Dance Community

What an awesome spot. Don't miss the chance to come out next week y'all. This band is the real thing.

This is such a great venue. It's the bar hangout with great "danceable" live music that we've been missing in Atlanta. I loved the range of tempos, song selection, and movement between swing and blues. Great Band! The floor is awesome with a decent amount of space (tables removed) The bar staff was amazing and extremely inviting. I even got a free coke for no reason. I actually hope they start charging if not everyone needs to come ready to tip these guys.
I hope work allows me to get out more.

WHY does it have to be January before I can make it again?? That was awesome. Fun times, tasty sweet potato fries, and a band that really swings. I love it.

My favorite part of the night was the whole vintage feel of the venue...from the floors, to the food (try their lamb panini..delicious!) and booths, to the tables, . The band was great...it had a very authentic swing feel to it. Great musicians with great flavor and test for the music. If you haven't made it there you need to go next week.

wow. that place is pretty awesome! cool band, but sticky-ish floors. Too bad I normally have a wednesday conflict.

Well..... it's a bar. But if they cleaned the floors it would be super awesome.

YES, this place rocks! I chatted with James, the owner, last night and he really digs us being there. He's going to let us takeover the sound system during band breaks from now on, too! I was supposed to do it last night but I had some technical difficulties with my Ipizzlator.

They're not playing next week but they WILL be playing the wednesday after new years. If people aren't too pooped from Lindy Focus, I hope y'all come out. I'll be there fo' sheezy!

i'm from auburn, and have a guest visiting who wants to go swing dancing (i'm a lindy hopper myself). we're going to try out the graveyard tonight - hope there will be some dancing!!! we were too late finding out about new year's events, sadly.

Yeah, it seems to be on the honor system - they have what's basically their tip jar, and you put your cover charge in there. If you want to tip the band more, and it's certainly deserved, I'm sure it would be appreciated.
