BEYOND TRIPLE STEPS
3-WEEK SERIES

March 12, 2007

Part 1

7:00 - 8:00pm
Taught by: Jesse & Candy

The class is basically a syncopation that replaces all basic footwork.
Many variations can be used in 6 and 8 count patterns, and will be
demonstrated using basic steps such as swingouts, sugar pushes,
send-outs and pass throughs, but can be applied to complex moves
as well. The class will starts out easy with simple variations, but will
move to harder steps throughout the lesson. Feel the burn.

he description I provided Michelle wasn't very good, my apologies.

This series will give you a lot of new footwork possibilities that you can play with. Since we decided to make this a three week series, I have also added slides to the mix (Slides are syncopations too sometimes!).

For those of you with slick shoes, I'll give you some spiffy slides, those of you with Aris Allens can learn heel slides as well, and those who just prefer to dance in regular shoes, I'll give you some fake slides that look cool too!

You can expect to learn all sorts of basic, swingout, and sugar-push foot work variations as well as some new moves that are custom built for your new footwork.

Be prepared, I'm what I call a "number junkee" which means I tend to put all the steps to their exact numerical placement in the dance, and I'll be explaining your footwork in those terms... it might not be a bad idea to bring something to take notes on if you're like me and need a reminder for later practice. (If you're not like me, please teach me your secret!)

I hope you enjoy the class, it's one of my favorite to teach.

Right you are... I'm a geek, and geeks of my flavor aren't known for their grammatical or spelling skills :)

It's good that there are different types of geeks then, to keep the geek balance in check. So, uh... if you need help coming up with complex algorithm solved by a computer, then I'm your man. :)

You can easily join even if you weren't there last week. This week we'll be working on slides and swingout variations.

I posted this in the hotjam thread, but this class was awesome. AA and I will be there next week with bells on! Ok, maybe not bells. But we'll be there. With enthusiasm. \:D/
