Music: Camilla Sanders
Camilla Sanders’ true passion is the love of the lyric. It is the most prevalent force behind her quickly ascending career. With two albums under her belt, a four-year residence as the featured artist in Times Square’s hot spot Langan’s, and a whirlwind history of performances with internationally acclaimed jazz practitioners, Camilla is one of the most promising young vocalists in the New York jazz scene today.
A recent transplant to the Atlanta Metro area has given us here in the South a great new vocalist to enjoy.

Heather Adams (Knoxville, TN)
Heather attended her first blues concert while still in the womb, and grew up enjoying (and dancing to) all types of music. Now, living in Knoxville, TN, she loves having the opportunity to play some of her favorite songs for her friends and fellow dancers.
Kate Hedin, Head DJ (Atlanta, GA and Washington, DC)
Kate fell into DJing at the legendary Spy Bar in Cleveland, OH – usually filling in last minute when Marty & Valerie forgot they were out of town. While living in Cleveland, she also DJed frequently for the Get Hep Swing monthly dances as well as the weekly venue, King's Court Jam. On her trips home to Atlanta, Kate often spun at ASEDA monthly dances. Kate is currently a house DJ for Atlanta's weekly venue, Hot Jam.
To fullfill her desire for new tunes, Kate has no shame in stealing, "borrowing," trading, or begging for new material to spin with and dance to. Some of her favorite artists to play include: Django, Sidney Bechet, Basie, Artie Shaw, Willie Bryant, Ella, Benny Goodman, and also such modern bands as: The Boilermaker Jazz Band, Titan Hot Seven, and Phil Ogilvie's Rhythm Kings.
Michael “Moose” Cobb (Atlanta, GA)
Raised in the wild pine forests around the metropolitan Atlanta area, Moose brings a certain “earthy” style to the music he plays. During his college years (yes, the let Moose into colleges in South Carolina), he had the opportunity to learn Jazz history/literature from several talented educators.
Always on the hunt to find good music – Moose scours the airways and internet for new tunes to stomp your hoof to, and he likes cake too…
Patrick “Madman” Manigault (Atlanta, GA)
Doctor. Madman. Jaguar. He's danced his way into your hearts, now his tunes will make you move on the dance floor. He's serves up platters from all generations, all styles, and prefers to hardly ever play anything that “sucks.”
But why the animal names? Why the mysteries? Because without the names, there are no mysteries, because without the mysteries, there are no names. (Think about that.) Sure, he may seem like a pleasant and analytical physicist. Sure, he may seem that way...
Doctor. Madman. Jaguar.
Rowwwrrr.
Rob Moreland (Raleigh, NC)
Rob Moreland is the house DJ for the lindy night at Loafers Beach Club in Raleigh, NC. He's been DJing weekly for over two years and dancing weekly for more than seven. He has DJd at various events around the southeast, including the Triangle, Atlanta and Knoxville exchanges, Blue Ridge Boogie and the Virginia State Open.
Jim “Possum” Wheatley (Atlanta, GA)
Jim Wheatley has been actively DJing and dancing in the Atlanta area for more than six years. He regularly spins at Atlanta's weekly “Hot Jam” and other dances sponsored by the Atlanta Swing Era Dance Association (ASEDA) and the Georgia Tech Dance Association. He has also DJed at such events as Beantown, MC2 in Nashville, the Grand National Dance Championships in Atlanta, and Lindy exchanges in Chicago, San Diego, St. Louis, Austin and South Florida. Jim was also a Coordinator and DJ for Atlanta's first three Lindy Exchanges (2004 - 2006).
Jim enjoys spinning and blending a variety of musical styles, including classic jazz, swing, blues and R&B.
Bobby “Slicky Shoes” White (Atlanta, GA)
Bobby got his start DJing for the famous LCA parties at Sewannee University, where his selection of Stevie Wonder and Madonna sent freshmen into epileptic seizures of excitement and would inevitably leave them running around the house wearing nothing but a beer funnel. He also DJed a vintage radio program at his college radio station which he knows at least one person listened to (it was a college of 1200, after all).
Since then, he has DJed at numerous dances and is still looking to find the perfect song combination to send Lindy dancers running around the venue wearing nothing but a beer funnel. His favorites to spin are Django, the Duke, the Count, Benny, Artie, Chick, Slim, Slam, and Tchavolo Schmidt.
“Shoeless” Peter Zellner (Atlanta, GA)
The president of the Tall Atlanta Leads Club, Peter is all things swing: dancer, performer, choreographer, and DJ. “Just keep it simple… Keep it Basie.” He quips, drinking another beer.
His DJing experience, which spans many an ASEDA dance and Hot Jam night, is filled with the greatest swing music classics like "Jeep Jockey Jump" "Jumping at the Woodside" "One O'Clock Jump," and all sort of others that include the word "Jump."
