Hey Everybody -

Wednesday night is supposed to be the night Traci Clark, and therefore
logically Big Mike himself, will be out at Nemoe's.
I haven't spoken with her lately but that was the last word I heard.

Hey Mike - youse guys still planning on a visit?

After a strong opening, we've had a couple of slow weeks at Nemoe's. Not
a big deal - we're not going away. It's always slow for a while after we
change clubs, (it was after we opened the 57th too, also after a strong
beginning), so I'm not surprised. As always a new venue is closer for
some folks and farther for some - others have to change the route they
take. And it takes a minute to get people back in the groove and
establish a new location.

But it would be a great help if you'd shout out your peeps, especially
those who are not on the Internet or members of Swing groups. It's
always good to stir up a little enthusiasm and get people off the couch
and out and about.
We've been working on the sound issues - we might even drop the high
ceiling, which I'd like - and it's sounding pretty good. Hopefully some
of the new furniture will be in this week too. Drapes are being custom
made as we speak.

So come on out and support the one of the few Neo-Swing scenes, (which
still plays a wide variety of music), in the good 'ole USA!
We'll play one 4 U.

Howdy -

Sorry about the second e-mail but I forgot to mention that since Matt
Johnson is on vacation there will not be a lesson this week and dancing
will start promptly at 8 PM.
One thing we did accomplish at the 57th was getting people out a little
earlier. This is an earlier start too so come on out a little earlier
and get more Swing dancing in.
Hopefully we can enough people out early that there will be plenty of
partners available.
