I'm all for keeping the forum un-offensive and keeping language creative. I don't even mind censoring out the seven or eight major curse words. I never use them on the forum.
But why is the word H e l l censored?
the word damn isn't censored.
Throw in a God, and you'd have--to many--one of the most offensive phrases possible--which I doubt would be censored. I'd try it right now, but I personally don't care for that phrase to come out of my fingers or mouth. Well, I think I can work around it.
"God Damn!" said Hitler. "Can no one tell me where I put that damn map of Russia?!? And where the blow job is my doughnut!?!? It was right there."
I'm just wondering. Censorship is very important to me.
Talk is cheap. Free speech isn't.

That's not what I meant! I didn't mean "please censor the word 'd a m n.' " D A M N is perfectly fine. So is "H e l l." They evoke classical mythology and epic damnation--not bodily functions or negative connotations about carnal knowledge.
I understand that certain words will immediately offend, but I am seriously offended by the censorhip of common words like "d a m n" and "h e l l" just as much as they'd be offended by the stronger words use in front of children.
I am perfectly willing to accept the censorship of the F words, C words, S words, even A words. But to censor damn and hell sounds like Disney is running our forum. And we already talk about nipples that can pierce concrete too much to start runnign things that way.
TALK IS CHEAP BUT FREE SPEECH ISN'T. |

Does logging in to post count as anything?
Seriously, all this is just coming off as irrelevant screaming to me. If you've got a point, fine - but log in to make it. I'm still getting mountain / molehill vibes from this (and I use enough profanity in everyday conversation to suit two people, normally). It doesn't matter; figure out better ways to say things. _________________ - Chris

Yeah, sorry. It's Bobby causing this fuss. I'm at work and keep forgetting i'm not logged in. I know how pissed i get when some one starts a rant and doesn't put there name to it.
And it's very important to me. I just think it's to censor the words 'damn' and 'hell' on a swing dance forum, especially where nipples and tonguew-in-cheek posters with "You are a fag" are mentioned as much as they are. |

You know what--that's not a bad idea. And I can just keep seperating my letters.

You know what's funny to me, I knew it was Bobby without him even being logged in.
The man's got style -- even in his posts. _________________ Gary |

I'm just curious? Why is it so important to see cuss words? _________________ --Adam

I support it. It's the only thing that makes sense. |
