DCLX registration is filling up with record speed - if you haven't done it already, REGISTER NOW!
If you still haven't made up your mind, check out our always-impressive venues for DCLX 2007:
Chevy Chase Ballroom & Joy of Motion Dance Studio
The amazing Blue Crescent Quintette plays the Chevy Chase Ballroom in Northwest DC. The floor is quick yet soft, and this year we have an even bigger space for your late night enjoyment.
Dupont Circle
A fountain graces the center of smooth concrete. There are a bunch of great places to eat in the Dupont area. Book stores, art galleries, foreign embassies, and the occasional protestor or two are the highlights of the area.
Glen Echo Spanish Ballroom & Bumper Car Pavilion
The Boilermaker Jazz Band will join forces with some special guests at the Glen Echo Spanish Ballroom, a gorgeous Spanish Mission style building on the National Register of Historic Places. The floor is huge, smooth and fast. We'll also be dancing to Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra at the historic Glen Echo Park Bumper Car Pavilion.
Hollywood Ballroom
The spacious and lovely Hollywood Ballroom in Silver Spring, Maryland will host our Friday night late night. Industrial on the outside, yet cozy and beautiful on the inside.
Jam Cellar aka Josephine Butler Parks Center
This new space, home to our Thursday night pre-DCLX dance, is a Renaissance Revival-style mansion built in 1927 and is located directly across the street from Meridian Hill Park in the Northwest quadrant of the District.
Westminster Church
The Robert Bell and Erin Schwab Hot Swing Combo will be playing a stone's throw from the Capitol in this Southwest quadrant church. The Church has a spacious and inviting interior with stained glass windows that were handmade by the congregation and a (sadly sans David Bowie) labyrinth gracing its floor.
Registration will sell out in the next week, so REGISTER NOW!!! (Seriously, we're not kidding.)
Full schedule and other information can be found at DCLX.org. |

Ok, I've got John Ford and Terrace want housing as a group, anybody want to be our 4th?
For the form I need to know:
--any allergies
--what nights you need housing
--what airport you're flying into (BWI, Dulles, National), if you're carpooling directly to the dance, if you're coming into DC by train or bus, or if it doesn't matter, will have a car.

Registration for DCLX 2007 is now sold out. Registration is still open for housing.
We regret to inform you that pre-registration for DCLX is now full. But there's still hope for those of you who haven't registered! If you would like to be placed on the waiting list, please email [email protected].
For those of you who have registered but not paid, you have until Thursday, March 1st. Your payment must be postmarked by this day or your spot will be forfeited to someone on the waiting list.
If all that wishing, hoping, and praying doesn't get you off the waiting list, don't worry - we're selling some tickets at the door for all dances. Remember to arrive early - space is limited, and we will sell out!
Visit DCLX.org for the official schedule and door prices. |

You can still get on the wait list. People ALWAYS drop and we let a number of people in off of the wait list. Hurry! You can still get in to DCLX. Also, we are selling tickets to every dance at the door. Yes, you have to be dilligent about getting to most of the event very early, but you can get in to EVERY dance by showing up at the door. |

So, I guess the fact that I'm registered and paid means I'm going... (this just sunk in). Woot! Wow. Ok, then. Anyone going and want to carpool? _________________ -Mike the Girl

It's gonna be fun! I'm thinking about flying up Thursday night so I can do some sightseeing on Friday. Any takers? Maybe even make Jam Cellar on Thursday. _________________ Terrace Ellis
