Atlanta Varisty Showdown - Postponed until further notice

It is with great sadness we announce ASEDA is postponing classes this October for the Atlanta Varsity Showdown 2005.

Several issues, such as instructor illness and space scheduling constraints, have led us to make this difficult decision to postpone AVS. We currently are looking at the next few months to open our doors again. When those doors open ... look out! Classes will be better than ever with all kinds of surprises!

We, the ASEDA Board of Directors thoroughly enjoy and look forward to providing the highest caliber of instruction and dancing opportunities for the Southeast and know this postponement will only heighten the
level of quality and focus for you.

Again, we apoligize for any trouble this may cause you in planning your education for this semester.

Keep an eye out for the new AVS date!

Hello! The Charleston dancers are starting to talk about coming to AVS again this year. I can't seem to find any info though. What is the AVS website addy?

There seem to be some issues with AVS this year... ASEDA lost the space they had originally booked (through no fault of their own) so things are still up in the air, as far as I know.

Due to venue problems, the organizers are looking at Next Semester--AVS got kicked out of the venue for October (NOT the fault of AVS), and November has another Atlnata event currently happening (check it out---> www.southernbelleswing.com), and December is pushing finals for people...So, they're currently looking around Feburary.

I'll start passing the word on that up here; I'm not sure if we're going to try and pull in instructors for next semester or what, but they have warning of what's going on now.
