Man, I've never seen an event run so smoothly, weather included.
GREAT job everyone. Great vibe, great dances, great DJS...all around, excellent. I'm proud to be a (tiny) part of such an incredible group. _________________ --Bobby "incredibly" White

I was the one walking around with my camera all weekend because I knee surgery a couple of weeks ago, but it was still a blast to hear all the great music and see so many friends again.
Thanks for such a great weekend Atlanta! _________________ Dennis Goetz Photography |

Thank you so much to everyone who had a part in ATLX... any part... organizing to dancing to volunteering...
Even for eating all that yummy stuff April made [you really are the food fairy!!!]
Thanks again... it was so awesome!

I know a few people that got that message a little too late.

From an exchange junkie, ATLX is consistently one of my favorite events. Thanks for the opportunity to come up and take pictures and DJ for you guys. I look forward to next year, and I'll be getting started on the pictures tonight after work. |

Thanks Keither and Snowdrop for the food too. Spicy food is great
I have pics and videos too, but I will prepare both and release as a package deal. I don't know how Tracy got into so many of my pictures. However, there are many more, and I believe I took more pictures this year than either year one or two.
Moose (and Catherine) pancakes and waffles were great April Cobb is who we have to thank for food overall
Everyone can consider Memorial Day Grand Nationals in Atlanta. _________________ Mark Tabladillo

Thanks to Heather for being the great hostess. Hey-o to the people of Clan Cahill, it was good to meet you all. Thank you to the ATLX crew for inviting me to DJ, I hope I didn't disappoint. To everyone else I had met and/or danced with. I had a great time. Job well done!
You can find some ATLX pics and the Sunday Afternoon video where Josh and I asked some of you the $64,000 Question on my website.

Just wanted to post my thanks/congrats as well, and to reminisce about ATLX3 partly to help keep my mind off the fact that Im not at DCLX this weekend.
First, to everyone on the ATLX crew, excellent job! It was a great honor and privilege and pleasure to work with yall. Special congrats to Alan doing such a great job with venues; to April for going waaay beyond the call of duty with food; to MarkTab for continued great service with the website in this and previous years; to Peter for knockout designs; to Javy and Regina for jumping in for the first time and doing a superior job with sound and registration; to Bobby for pulling together the event program; to Nima for ongoing support and libations; to Bert for last-minute help with restaurants; and to Lisa for assistance in a dozen different areas.
Finally, to Heather, Moose and Andrea for giving so much, leading the way and making the weekend a super-special one for locals and guests and newbies and longtimers. Word to Moose: the bands rocked! Also, kudos to the Atlanta dance community for continued patronage and support, especially in housing the vast majority of our visiting guests. And congrats to the belly dancers and to BIG GEORGE for memorable performances!
Thanks also to all the DJs for some great, great spins throughout the weekend. I heard a ton of positive comments from dancers, with the array of spins from old school to blues/R&B very nice indeed.
Next year seems a long way off, but the ATLX4 bandwagon is already moving, and rolls on. It will be here before you know it!! |

PS - We should also salute Regina for all the hours of work on the ATLX wristbands. Loved by basically everyone.

We still wanted to supply a good excuse for everyone to come visit North Carolina though, so we are putting together some extra evening and late night events together for a long lindy party weekend. Keep an eye out for more details on that soon. |
