The Hot Jam family is very excited to be celebrating 2 years of great weekly swing dancing here in Atlanta. What continues to make the night so fun and special is all of you dedicated dancers that come out and support the dance each week. We're proud that Hot Jam offers dancers, from absolute beginners to seasoned veterans, a place to gather as a community, learn from each other and share our mutual love and passion for the dance and the music. Makes us feels warm inside that we can do our part, along with ASEDA, Reunions, Ga Tech, Emory, Agnes Scott and others, in keeping the Atlanta swing scene growing and thriving. BIG HUG!
Ok, time to party!

What about if we make it a Valentine's Themed event too?... I mean we've already got the chocolate fountain and strawberries!
There was a Valentine's dance in another state advertised on the forum where they were asking that the attendees wear a certain color to represent taken or not....etc. ("My Swedish valentine" in NC maybe??) Sounded like fun. I think they had said like if you are "married" wear white, if you are "taken" wear pink, and if you are "single" wear red. If nothing else, the color scheme would create a festive decor.
(I am not saying that it's a go- I am just posing the idea to the powers at hand.) _________________ -Aimee |

I can't speak for all of the Georgia Tech Dance Association, but if there's a chocolate fountain, I am totally there. And I'll get the word out to the rest, as well.
They should be interested in a chocolate-fountain-strawberries-Bonaventure-Quartet-Hot-Jam-on-crack!

I like it... it's a good excuse for me to wear my white jacket
Of course, I don't see too many guys wearing pink |

I don't know... there are a lot of guys that think 'real men wear pink.' (Any suggestions for festive valentines colors to replace pink?)
So what do you all think? Is it a go??? _________________ -Aimee |

If I'm not mistaken, the original idea came from the Valentine's Uproar in Nashville (this weekend) and the scheme is:
Wear Red if you're single.
Wear White if you're taken....
Wear Pink if you're somewhere inbetween! _________________ ~Gina

Awesome.
I loved the band, and even though I was coerced into doing the contest, I really had fun... Stacy was a great Jack and Jill partner. Who knew it was so hard to stay in Charleston the entire time...
I'm sure I stood out in my bright white Jacket I was expecting to see more white and Red.
Nima got a lot of pictures, so hopefully he'll get those up for us soon! |

WOW! That was fun.
THANKS everybody for coming out to Hot Jam's 2nd Anniversary Shindig. You made our night!
Bonaventure Quartet was amazing and we can't wait to have them back! Gah....they were so good.
Gotta love live music!
And CONGRATS to John Ford and Gina Helfrich, our new Hot Jam Partner Charleston Jack & Jill Champions
and new owners of the Rock, Paper, Scissors candy trophies. Enjoy! _________________ Michelle

Great time indeed!! I loved the band as well. I didn't dance as much mainly because I was listening. I loved it when those guys played the old jazz standards. Very nice!!!
Great event Nima and Michelle!

An excellent anniversary party from Hot Jam, and I expected no less. Bonaventure Quartet was swingin', and the chocolate fountain was delicious!
Now if I can only figure out how to get the candy out of my rock-paper-scissors trophy.... _________________ ~Gina
