argh! It won't let me log in!!!

Same thing that was happening earlier, Nima. I try and log in, and it sends me back to the index page, sans log-in. Can't log in, can't stay in.

Okay, I finally got in after clearing Cache and Cookies in my browser. But this has never happened to me before, and it's happened several times to me today with the forum. Could this be a problem with the rebooting of the forum? Anyone else having this problem? or does the forum just hate me? Rolling Eyes

There have been some security upgrades to the forum. It could be due to this, I have not experienced any problems in regards to this thus far but if you keep having them please let me know.

P.S>What browser are you using?

Update: Did some research and discovered this is a common problem with the upgrade. I am working on a p atch to solve this issue.

I will keep everyone posted.

It was probably just a problem with my browser. After I cleaned out the cookie crumbs, everything was back to working order. Wink

Try deleting both the cookies and the cache. And try going to this link: http://www.aseda.org/forum/login.php once your in, re-bookmark the page. ... I had the same problem with BalboaNation the other day, and Mary Ann said to do that and it worked. Don't know why, but it did. Maybe it'll help here.

Good luck!

As far as I know you are the only one with this problem. I have installed the patch for the cookies, but I am not sure what the issue is here...

It's happened to me a couple times. But after I cleared the cookies 2 or 3 times, it's been fine ever since.

The security upgrade was a necessity. The log on problem is happening to several people. Patience, and Nima will have the problem fixed in a little while.

It usually takes a couple of log in times, and you get in fine.

A Solution for the Double-Log-In Problem

I have also experienced the "double log-in problem" where you log in and the program doesn't consider you in. Instead of going to "log-in" I have been going to "Log-in to check your private messages" and from that point clicking "Forum Index"

It seems to eliminate the double log-in (after about 4 different tries, perhaps others can post their experience to this thread to verify if this trick works or not).

Also, with a single log-in, I can use the "View posts since your last visit" -- if you do the double log-in, it will wipe out that list when you log on the second time Sad -- however, that feature is helpful because I can quickly see what new posts have been done since the last time.

Yeah, I remember when I had this problem, I tried that. Totally didn't work for me. Rolling Eyes oh well.
